AMS was founded as Auto Marketing Services in April of 1982. The company engaged in the sale and installation of upgraded stereo equipment and other installable accessories to car dealerships. Beginning in 1987, the first retail showroom for Car Audio opened, and the fun began. Over the next several years, the business grew very quickly and ended up in it’s current location on King James Way in 1990. During the 90’s, AMS was recognized by numerous manufacturers as a leader in the industry. Driven by “Quality Over Quantity”, installation, programming, and service drives our business. AMS has received awards from many manufacturers as a top retailer, and the industry itself awarded AMS the “Best Single Store” in 1997. In 2006, one of our very own was recognized by the industry as “Installer of the Year” across the entire country. In 2004, AMS began selling, installing, and programming Audio and Video for home and light commercial applications. Again, this part of our business is driven by quality installation, programming, and service. AMS has been a member of CEDIA every year we’ve been in business, ensuring that we stay current and certified with industry standards. Over time, car audio has blossomed into a number of different products we now refer to as Mobile Electronics. Home Audio and Video has expanded to include Automation and powerful WiFi networks. The commonality you’ll find in all that we do is the people, our staff. People who come to work each day practicing their passion. Trained and experienced, this is a group of people you can trust with your home or vehicle. With our proven performance over many years, AMS is able to attract vendors who make “The Good Stuff”. We also provide and install projectors and large screens for those looking for the full in-home theater experience. Whole house audio including outdoor audio is also available. We specialize in installing systems in existing homes as well as new construction and remodeling projects with powerful Wi-Fi ensuring all your wireless control and devices are fast and responsive. We also stock and sell excellent wireless music players, and we also have 2-channel audio with high-end speakers, integrated amplifiers, and turntables.
Mobile Electronics

AMS sells and installs a unique audio experience for cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, and ATV’s. We have systems for classic cars and exotics as well! AMS is able to integrate with the factory electronics or install something totally new in your dash. Custom built in Radar Detection is available for those of you who drive “marked cars”, and we have portables too. In dash navigation featuring Apple Car Play and Android Auto, combined with Bluetooth connectivity for music and hands free phone, creates a seamless interface with your smartphone and portable music devices. Back up cameras, parking sensors, collision avoidance technology, and heated seats are among the many other products we offer. We specialize in remote car starters and security, and we also have rear seat entertainment for the kids!
